Home-made Peanut Butter
Ingredients:
250 gm Roasted Peanuts / groundnuts
1 teaspoon groundnut oil or cooking oil
1 teaspoon jaggary or honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
Procedure:
Take roasted groundnuts. Remove skin if you want. It is optional. Put the groundnuts in the mixer grinder & powder it finely till it starts releasing oil. At this point, add all other ingredients (oil, salt & jaggary/ honey) & blend it again till it gets smooth buttery texture.
Peanut butter is ready. Store it in airtight glass container. Do not keep it in refrigerator as it will harden & lose its buttery texture.
You can use it as a spread on bread or roti or parathas.
[Note: I like crunchy textured peanut butter. Hence, I added oil & honey half way before it turns into fine powder. But if you like it fine buttery texture, add these ingredients at the end.]
